Tree of life…

Various references of ‘tree of life’ are recounted in folklore, mythology, culture, philosophy, fiction. Often relating to immortality, fertility, spirit – our core life force. Origins in sacred religious symbolism, the phenomenon of evolution.

Tree of life is a symbol of fresh start in life, positive energy, good health, bright future. A symbol of immortality. A tree grows old, yet it bears seeds that contain it’s very essence to become immortal. It’s growth, giving, strength. Lifecycle of death and re-birth.

Sometimes, known as Cosmic Tree, World Tree, Holy Tree of wisdom, protection, healing, abundance, beauty, redemption.

The Bodhi-tree (wisdom-tree), is the Tree of Enlightenment. Beneath the Bodhi-tree, Buddha attained enlightenment. Associated with the creator, abundant fruits, shade, regeneration.

Humans develop ‘roots’ of purpose, self-belief, ‘branch out’ by means of wisdom, compassion. The ‘trunk’ is mind & body to keep roots, branches inter-connected for perfect harmony, expansion, balance.

Tree of life as perceived by different faiths like Christianity, resonates with a simple yet powerful message of staying strong, kind, loving, united. All forms of life are inevitably, inexplicably connected through cosmic energy!
