Mars, magical…

Named after Roman God of War, Mars is 4th planet from the Sun in our solar systemThe 1st spacecraft to land on Mars was Viking Landers in 1976. Future generations might live on Mars!

Mars, ‘Red Planet’, signature colour comes from large amounts of a chemical called iron oxide (rust) in it’s rocks, soil. Colder than our own planet, poles plummet to -140°C

Mars is home to highest mountain in our solar system. Volcano called Olympus Mons. Standing a whopping 24 kms high, about 3 times the height of Mount Everest!

Mars has 2 moons! One is called Phobos, other Deimos. A day on Mars is 24 hours, 37 minutes. A year on Mars is 687 earth days

There’re signs of liquid water on Mars. In 20-40 million years, moon Phobos will be torn apart by gravitational forces, creating a ring lasting 100 million years.

Would love to reach the planet. Land on top of Olympus Mons.
