Great Wall of China
Originally conceived by Emperor Qin Shi Huang (ca. 259–210 BC) in 3rd century BC to keep Mongol’s away. Best preserved section of Great Wall, built in 14th-17th centuries, during Ming dynasty (1368–1644). Massive engineering, construction feat.
Chichén Itzá
Chichén Itzá, means “at the mouth of well of Itzá,” 2nd most visited archeological site in Mexico. Absolutely gorgeous.
Volubilis
Volubilis in Morocco is one of best preserved ruins. Most of the city is still unexcavated, a very raw feel.
Sukhothai
Located in Thailand, Sukhothai was capital of Thailand. Contains 21 temples enclosed by a moat. It’s many temples showcase unique Sukhothai style of decoration, incorporates Khmer (Cambodian), Sri Lankan influences.
