Cinderella complex…

Cinderella complex – a woman’s fear of emotional independence, an unconscious desire for validation from others.

Named after fairy tale Cinderella. Femininity portrayed as a beautiful, graceful, polite, supportive, kind, hardworking woman yet exploited, maligned by other females. Incapable of changing her terrible situation with her own inner strength or actions. Must be totally dependent on outside forces to be rescued, usually men. Wouldn’t want my man to consider me a burden, not adding any value to his life!

Similar themes in most fairy tales – Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel. Would love a companion who treats me as an equal. Surely admit I’m fragile, silly, vulnerable, emotional enough to need a man’s tender loving care, direction, leadership (can’t imagine another me!). However, will humbly add some value to the equation, rather than just live off his light. Great joy in compassionately balancing each other’s strengths, weaknesses, dark, light, desires, expectations, needs, purpose, goals, fears, challenges.

Both women, men have feminine and masculine traits. Women are predominantly feminine. If our Yin/Yang energy is in good balance and harmony, it’s an absolutely unique, unbelievable, unbeatable combination. Nothing is impossible for such a sensational, passionate, purposeful power-house of mutual high vibrational energies.
