In a culture where being social & outgoing are prized above all else, it can be difficult to be an introvert. But, introverts bring amazing talents, capabilities to be encouraged & celebrated. Just like Susan, at age 15, I was sent to a National Cadet Corps camp for a month. Desperately called my family in 10 days, emphatically insisted on returning home! No personal space, missed my dog, walks in the woods, time in nature, books, writing & music. Instructors complained that I was too reserved & very selective with my choices!
Kids do not distinguish themselves in a powerful or bad manner.
