Social media posts have become a significant component of romantic relationships.

Treat posts with a pinch of salt. Most are contextual or impulsive, without any negative intentions. No display of actual emotions involved. Normally, we tend to reveal what we want the world to see. There’s much more to our authentic self, than visible in a picture.

This leads to misunderstandings, awkwardness, arguments. To avoid concerns share our expectations to decide how public a post, what’s appropriate and acceptable or not.

Trust and freedom of expression is key to a beautiful relationship, have faith. Suggest taking the driver’s seat, be assertive to take the lead and agree best way forward. A passive, non-participative approach hardly works when in conflict, fear or doubt. Teamwork!
