Wish I knew…

Wish someone shared these learnings, when I was younger:

Create meaning, not find it – felt confused about what was I “meant to do” in life. But, finding is passive. Instead of finding meaning, it’s better to create meaning. To actively explore or seek that which inspires or stimulates. Share empathy, love and compassion.

Always growing, not fixed – felt had fixed set of talents, skills and behaviours. Realised I wasn’t wired fixed but flexible, flowing and evolving. Happier, the minute we positively change our perspectives, attitudes and way of being. Being open, receptive feels good.

Know your passion – if we’re unsure of our passion, just follow our will and curiosity, leads us to our heart’s desires and passionate pursuits. Brings joy and contentment.

Know the ‘why’ – we put focus on what we do or how we do it. Seldom, do we ask ‘why we do it’? Answers lead us to what truly matters and will be. Connects to our deepest self.

Everything happens for a reason – “you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So trust the dots will somehow connect. Trust in something – our gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach never let me down, made all the difference in my life” – Steve Jobs
