Email: Why read books you recommend, believe in practical learning? (US)
Wow. Both are complementary, stimulating experiences. Some books are tool-kits to strategise, build structures, fix stuff, face challenges. Some bring exciting adventures from the most practical to most mysterious, most mundane to most romantic. A few bone-chilling, horrific. With some we experiment, make new things from cakes to ships. Some give creative wings to expressions, imaginations, ideas, innovations. Some are meditative or like medicines, bitter yet beneficial, encouraging. Some sprinkle fairy dust.

To Galileo, reading was our sole means to super-human powers, becoming a hero. To Kafka, a book was the axe for frozen seas of emotions within us. For Anaïs Nin, an inspiring alarm to awaken from the slumber of almost-living. The object we call books is not just a book but a possibility, a potential, a promise like musical scores, flower seeds, art on canvas. Straight from the library to our hearts.
