Philosophers…

We’ve often spent moments staring out of the windows or gazing at the night sky ruminating on the meaning of life or its absence. Nietzsche once observed that when things are going well, we tend not to bother with the how’s or the why’s of our delight. Pain, though, makes philosophers of us all?

We’ve been using our enforced quasi-leisure to embark on a reflective state of mind, indulging in a self-care journey. Hear philosophical conversations like “appreciate that we can’t take anything for granted”, “acknowledge the incredible power of nature”,”crisis puts everything into perspective”, “nurture a spirit of gratitude”, “build motivation to pursue our passion”, “understand the essence of positivity”, “re-discover the joy in simple pleasures”, “respect the value of freedom”.

Ultimately, at heart, a sensitive prayer to grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can and the wisdom to know the difference – a classic piece of stoic philosophy!
