Love…

A poem for Valentine’s Day…

My love for you cannot be measured,

It’s as vast as the sky, like the infinite universe.

I see you in the portrait of a sunset,

In the dance of two love birds,

I feel you living in my heart.

My love for you is seen in my eyes, so tender and full of stars.

You are the reason my heart sings, my sunshine.

Loving you gives my life meaning,

Never before have I felt this way,

Every day with you is Valentine’s Day!

Poems by Louise Glück…

With each successive book, her drive, the force of her gaze is fixed on what has yet to be imagined, invents a unique form. A lovely landscape seen from above. The unspeakable, the reiterated yet endlessly transfigured elements in the landscape – a copper beech, a garden, a horse, a dog, a field on fire, a mountain that persistently emerges, reappears with the energy of the inevitable. Louise Gluck’s writing is simple. She won the 2020 Nobel Prize in Literature. An unmistakable poetic voice with an austere beauty.

From within the earth’s
bitter disgrace, coldness and barrenness
my love, the moon rises
she is beautiful tonight, but when is she not beautiful?

Pet joy…

Companion pets are a great blessing during the coronavirus pandemic. Adorable interactions, playfulness brings a variety of physiological, psychological benefits.

Nostalgic about my dog, a dark chocolate doberman. We were inseparable. Absolutely enjoyed my runs, walks with the dog. Blissful bicycle rides. Always losing to his ferocious speed. He cunningly waited for me to move a long way ahead, obliging me with some distance advantage. No chance of winning against that dreadful beast, with rolling innocent eyes!

An overwhelming sense of joy, peace when I play with my cat, red & green-winged macaw. The cat loves to chase the ball, crazy for cuddles. The bird loves to somersault, sing & dance!
