Special tea brews…

Winter is time to brew hot cups of tea. Read a good book, listen to soothing classical’s tucked in warm, cosy. Special tea recipes:

Fruit Infused Tea

Freshly brewed chamomile tea with orange chunks, berries, ginger, mint leaves. Chamomile boosts immunity paired with ginger, fresh berries. 

  • Chamomile tea  (2 tea bags)
  • 1 orange rind
  • 50 gms berries
  • 50 gms blueberries
  • 10 gms ginger
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 2 cups boiling water

Brew camomile tea, orange rind, berries, blueberries, mint leaves, ginger for 5 minutes.

Honey Lemon Ginger Tea 

Perfect for days when feeling under the weather. Combination of honey with lemon works wonders. Manages cold, cough with vitamin C, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory.

  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 tsp ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp tea leaves for each cup
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey

Heat 3 cups of water. Add ginger. When it boils add tea leaves, lemon juice, honey.

Turmeric Detox Tea

Turmeric is an excellent pain-reliever packed with anti-inflammatory properties. An excellent brew with turmeric, black pepper, honey, ginger, tea leaves to cleanse.

  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp black Pepper
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 cups water
  • Tea leaves

Heat 2 cups of water. Add ginger. When it boils add tea leaves, turmeric, pepper, honey.

Masala Chai

Cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, star anise in a cup of masala chai keeps cold at bay. Roast spices like cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, star anise in equal amounts. Grind roasted ingredients to get a powder. Add boiling water, tea leaves. Simmer for 10 mins.
